The other day my Aunty and Cousin rolled into town for a visit. I’ve been a little low energy the last few days due to a nasty cold, but tonight I was feeling a smige better and could actually taste my diner!
While growing up in Hawaii our family gathered together at my Papa and Grandma’s house almost every weekend, well at least it felt that way when I was younger. All the aunties and uncles, cousins and second cousins, it was quite the party. Spending time with family is always nice, since now a good lot of us have moved, spread across the country. I hope one day we can all come back together for at least one afternoon, to have lunch, exchange stories, laugh till the tears flow, and remember where we come from and how our past has shaped the way we all make our decisions through every day.
